Onam celebration of students from mathematics department of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, Kochi, named ‘ORU 1, 1 ½ ONAM’ held on 1st september 2022, was an event to remember. The arrangements for the celebrations including athapookkalam and classroom decorations were done by Second Dc maths students before 9:20 am. The programme was officially started at 9:35 am with a prayer song and lamp lighting followed by various games including Musical chair, Lemon and spoon and sundarikku pottu thodal. Students along with teachers from all the 3 years and PG, actively participated in the competitions and won various prizes. Cultural events like onapattu and thiruvathira were performed by third years. Group dances were also performed by Second and third years. After the competitions and events, there was sharing of payasam which brought Onam celebration 2022 to an ideal ending.
