An inter-college quiz competition,Rev.Fr John Therezhath Endowment Quiz was conducted by the Mathematics Department of Sacred Heart College,Thevara on 15th February 2023 from 1.30 pm at Fr.Melesius Hall.The quiz was in the presence of all the faculty members of Mathematics Department, all the UG and PG students and participants from other colleges.
The quiz was led by Dr.Rahul Rajan,the Assistant Professor of St.Aloysius College,Eluthuruth,Thrissur.Through the prelims examination five teams each with two members was selected for the final rounds and they were asked to give the answers within the limited time given by the quizmaster.The quiz started with the welcome speech by Devika Vinod(2nd DC Mathematics). The quiz was organized in a well-planned manner and the session was very informative too.After the five rounds the winners were given prizes by Dr.Jeenu Kurian ,the Head of Mathematics Department of Sacred Heart College,Thevara.The ever rolling trophy was secured by Cochin University of Science and Technology(CUSAT),Kochi with a cash prize of Rs.3000/- the second position was secured by the Church Missionary Society(CMS)College,Kottayam with a cash prize of Rs.2000/- and the third position by TKM College of Engineering,Kollam with a cash prize of Rs.1000/-.
The program came to an end with the vote of thanks by Anupama A (2nd DC Mathematics). By 4.15pm the quiz program was windup with tea and snacks.
