Dr. Bhramar Mukherjee, Collegiate Professor, John D Kalbfleish & Chair of the Department of Biostatics, University of Michigan, hosted the session. The discussion stressed on the pivotal role of increased testing, reliable and transparent data, proper uncertainty quantification, accurate interpretation of forecasting models, reproducible data science methods, and tools that can enable data-driven schemes during a pandemic. The objective of the webinar was to disseminate the interventions of the virus and to compare the hypothetical forecasts that implemented historical decisions in India. It also emphasized on the scrutiny and precautions that has to come in practice for the posterity.
